The Nonviolence Institute offers direct support and resources for community members that are directly impacted by violence, as well as nonviolence training, and employment programs for young adults. They represent the needs of their clients and communities on a municipal, state and federal level through direct action and advocacy on legislation. Their Streetworker Outreach Team works every day in Providence and Pawtucket to understand the dynamics of gang violence, to support young people in making nonviolent choices, and to mediate potential conflicts that could lead to violence.
